Im 29 years old and i think i have ADHD. I cant seem to focus on anything long enough to understand it. I enjoy cooking and art. I have been to both cooking and art school but didnt finish either and i owe so much because it was like my mind kept switching stations. i tried to focus but i couldnt and by the time i came back from my mind trips i would be totally lost. i would always be to embarrased to ask the teacher to repeat cos i would think that she would have talked about me and thought i was dumb. I feel like i cant raise my children right because i forget a lot and of course they wont remind me if they are being punished, i stopped gooing to church cos when i walk out the church i would forget what the paster said before i even get to the parking lot.I dont know how to go about getting help and i dont want to miss out on anything else!!!!!!!!!

I think you should make an appointment with your family doctor so you can be diagnosed properly. If you do have it, there is medication to treat it, so don't worry. Stress can also make people very forgetful as well. I recommend getting a large calendar so you can keep track of everything in you/your kids lives. Meditation is another way of calming your mind, so that you can live in the moment instead of thinking about too many things at once.

I think it's very brave of you to realize how this is a problem in your life. Please go to your doctor and tell him/her everything you wrote here. Best of luck to you. Bella :)

I too think it is very courageous of you to realize what kind of issues you have going on.

I also recommend seeing your doctor asap and telling them whats going on.
