Just testing.... i already asked if this was a common thing for adults to rock back and forth to music for relaxtion and comfort.... and the question doesnt seem to appear in the new posted section...
I bounce my legs up and down, myself...it can be just any type of repetitive behavior.
Hope this helps.

Rocking (and head banging) are quite common for babies, so perhaps this adult is regressing to such behavior as a form of comfort. It could be that their mother or caregiver rocked them in a rocking chair whenever they needed comforting, and they perform this self-comforting whenever they need it. It's probably being done "unconsciously" meaning they may not be aware they are doing it.

Hi Leap,
Yeah, head banging is a stress releaser for those who, well, are over-stressed or have been abused.

Head-banging is a bigger issue then you may think...
