am femal 32 years old ,on antidepressant drugs for 2years & on seroxate for 1year as it was perfect with me I take this medication after 3 month from delivery ,, as IWas complaining from panic attack & panic disordersfollowed by sever depression,,, now am fine on seroxate with no any manifestation but I'm planning to be pregnant agaian ,,can I stop this medication seroxate graduaaly befor get pregnant with any manifestation of panic again as i stop it for 1 month but symptoms of panic return again ??what can I do ... I wanna to get pregnant but am afriad from taking medication during pregnancy & wory about panic atakes during pregnancy too

Quick answer...please talk to your doctor. NEVER get off of medication on your own with out your doctors approval. They didnt put you on it with a guess, and you dont need to get off of it or wean yourself off (even to get pregnant) of it with out asking them.

Please check with them first, and then go from there.

just echoing what Clyde said! this is something only your doctor can help you with. Antidepressant withdrawal can be very risky if not done under physician supervision

I took anti-depressants throughout my entire pregnancy and had a perfectly healthy baby, who is now a healthy 5-year old. Talk to your doctor before you stop your meds! In many cases, like mine, the benefits outweigh the risks.
