For years i have been wondering what is wrong with me. I have searched continuously for answers. Doctors have diagnosed me a number of things (including hypochondriasis). my medications had little affect on me, and i have began to wonder if maybee i am a hypochondriac with more than just physical illness. is this plausable?

Wait.
You've been diagnosed as a hypochondriac, but now you're worried that you have something other than a physical illness? LOL, isn't that the definition of being a hypochondriac? I'm not laughing at you, really, just with you. I think humor can go a long way in diffusing these kinds of situations. :)

hillary, sometimes the medical profession is too busy to truly sit down and help a patient figure things out. It's very easy to dismiss one by saying hypochondriac.
Why not keep a journal of what you feel and when? If you find recurring ill health, then maybe you will also find what causes it. It could be something physical, like a food allergy, or something with an emotional connection.
That no medicines help doesn't mean it isn't physical. Sometimes those who are allergic also have different responses to synthetic medications. If you want to rule out that type of response, see an ENT who specializes in allergies. Allergies can make you feel crazy, honest.
Good wishes.

Show this to your doctor and go from there.
