WHEN I AM IN SOCIAL SETTINGS I GET SO MUCH ANXIETY I START TO SWEAT REALLY BAD. MY DR. SAYS ITS NOTHING I CANNOT GET OVER, BUT MY SWEATING IS UNCONTROLLED,IT JUST POURS DOWN MY FACE. MY COUSIN CAME HOME FROM IRAQ, AND I WAS A MESS, MY WHOLE SHIRT WAS DRIPPING WITH SWEAT AND I WANTED TO RUN AND HIDE. I GET THIS FUNNY FEELING THEN I FEEL A HEAT COMING UP AND THEN THE SWEAT STARTS. I AM TIRED OF BEING IMBARRASSED.
LUCKILY I AM A CLEAN MAN AND DON'T SMELL. HAS ANYONE EVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO THEM ? AND WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS ?
PLEASE HELP. I DO TAKE XANAX FOR ANXIETY BUT IT DOESN'T STOP THE SWEATING. THANKS, JCIRI3@AOL.COM

Hi Joe,
I never have had it, but it does appear to be related to your anxiety. When you say doctor, do you mean your medical doctor or your therapist?
If it is your medical doctor, let your therapist know. If it is your therapist, make sure they know how severe and how "embarrassing" or bad it is for you.
Do not take no for an answer, it is you and your worry--let them HELP you, dont let them tell you not to worry. This is an outward reaction to an inward issue.

Check with your MD and your therapist.
