I know i have written quite a few posts in the past but i really need help. Starting today i realized that my fear of people has grown worse. I could barely stand being out in public today and just thinking about Monday morning getting up and going to school almost makes me cry. I've been trying not to break down but i don't know how much more i can take! I'm just a teenager and i feel very, very alone in this world. I recently gave up on my only friend because she was to concerned about her boyfriend and now i have no one! But i'm afraid to be with people and i don't know what to do! I've asked this same sort of question before and gotten some really nice answers from people like bellacutie, but my life feels as though its spiraling out of control. It doesn't help that my old friend was somewhat suicidal and talked about killing herself 24/7 and that made somewhat of an impact on me to. So please help me i need to know what i can do! Help!

The good news is that you don't have to actually DO anything. You just need to see all these fears, ideas, feelings, and hesitations as something happening TO you. You can think of it like like your mind is being fed all of these things. In the end, they're just things: just thoughts, just feelings, just hesitations. Those things can't hurt you at all. Sure, they're uncomfortable, but they won't physically hurt you.
Just pay attention when they all come and watch them. You don't have to actually DO ANYTHING to make them go away, because you know that they're just mental stuff, nothing more.
If you do that, you'll see that you can still do what you need to do, despite having all these thoughts. The thoughts will lose their power over you. You may not be 100% comfortable yet, but you'll get there with practice and time.
Try your best to be patient, gentle, and kind with yourself throughout the process and you'll be okay, bipolargirl.

Hi Bipolargirl,
I know I've answered you a couple times before. You're probably still waiting on the results of the psyche. evaluation you recently had - right? You mention you dread going to school this Monday - how are your grades? I remember when I was your age I didn't like school too much either - because I was shy and had a hard time fitting in. Now that I'm older I regret it though. My oldest daughter is almost your age and she loves school. Since school is a necessity, you need to learn to adapt and like it. If you need help with your grades, then don't be shy - just ask for it. Try to hang out with good friends - the saying birds of a feather flock together is true. Try and join any extraciricular clubs they have going on.
Since anyones future is bleak without an eduacation - then there's no sense dreading that you have to go. Instead try those deep breathing exercises I told you about last time. I raising my girls to be strong mentally and physically. You need to also try to do that for yourself. My daughter takes Karate and will be a brown belt soon. It's a tough world out there so you have to develope that 'GO GIRL' attitude if you want to survive.
Keep asking for help from your parents, doctor, teacher etc. But you also need to rely on yourself and beleive that you won't let the little things get you down anymore. School will be alot easier if you enjoy it. That way when you're older you won't say - "oh , I wish when I was younger I would have had more fun". Everything will work out fine. Take care and be STRONG.

Very good postings. It does sound like some phobia or anxiety.
