I'm new here. I have been going through a panic disoder/depression period since May 2008. I'm in therapy, no medication. I also suffer from a phobia. Anyhow, I quit my job in August because I was terribly unhappy there and had panic every single day. Now I just got offered a job. It's very close to home, and is only 2 days a week which is optimal for me. I'm nervous though. I'm worried that I'll get into the same patterns I was in at my last job. Any practical suggestions? Thanks

I understand how you feel. I've been on disability since May. I think you responded to my post of a couple of days ago.
I just wanted to wish you luck and hope everything works out great for you. Hang in there and take it one day at a time.

I would learn how to ground yourself--to be in the here and now, and understand that you can only control what you can control at the moment.
I think you might wanna discuss this with family or a therapist, to see how you are dealing with the panic disorder.
Also, please be careful calling it panic disorder if it has not been diagnosed. It may of been, but if you are not going through therapy now, how do you know that is what it is? You do need to see someone so you can decide on what it is and how to treat it. If you cut your arm up bad, would you not go to a doctor because you thought it was a cut?
No, you would go...same here :)
Best,
Clyde

I am currently in therapy...my therapist diagnosed me with the panic disorder. She does not want to put me on medication and now I think it would help me!
