I'm 16 years old and havent haven't had the best life, but then again who has? I've had very bad relationships and I've been put away twice. The first time I was put away they said they thought I was bi-polar; Same the second time. I refused to take medication for it though. I'm in a new relationship which seemed like it was really going to work. But since then, little shit has been coming up with his ex's, my ex's and guys messaging me telling me they 'wanna sex me'. My boyfriend already has terrible trust issues(even though I've never given him a reason not to trust me) but messages like this don't help him to trust me. I tend to cry and get mad a lot and very fast. Just now I cut myself four times and was crying like crazy, now I'm not as upset anymore. I don't know whats wrong with me. Please help.

Since you're only 16 I don't recommend being in serious relationships. Engaging in self injury isn't the solution either. I would recommend joining the self injury forum of psychcentral - there are helpful tips at the top of the forum section('sticky posts') Can you get a new phone number/email address and be selective who you give it to. To answer your question - are you bipolar? - I can't answer that over the internet plus I'm not a doctor. The main focus for you right now should be doing well in school so you can become an independant woman. Life is too short to waste it arguing over petty issues. If your current BF can't solve his own trust issues - perhaps you may need to let him go. Balance your life with healthy eating, regular exercise, studying for school and having fun - which is what a young woman like yourself should be doing. Best of luck,
Bella

Why do you refuse to take the medication? Just curious. Could it actually help you if you did?
You may have to let the bf go and not worry about the other people, and possibly change the phone, like bella mentioned. People who pick on others like this, usually have more deformities inward than you ever would.
Psych Central Answers is a place where people can ask and answer questions about mental health issues and relationships in a safe and supportive environment.
