I am 28 years old, and pretty much all my life has been a roller coaster ride. I was diagnosed with P.M.D.D.. about 2 years ago and they put me on Yaz and Zoloft wich made everything stable in my life, witch was good, but it made me like a zombie so i got off the meds, and i take Lexapro, it keeps me from getting depressed but i am gettin very manic again its a cycle every month I know exactly wich weeks i will be manic and wich weeks I will be semi normal, I wander if i am bi-polar some times, Is this a possibillity because it throws me off because i know when i am going to be manic i cry the hole week before because i know i am probably going to do something i will regret. I am tired of living like this, I just want to be normal. can someone help me with this i am so confused and dont know what to do?

Why do you all get off of meds and then experience symptoms and wonder whats going on?

There is a reason that you were put on those meds, dear.

Can you talk to your doctor and tell him about the old meds and see what can be done?

Its probably because your old meds were treating you better than the Lexapro is now...or it could be dosage, or you could need different meds than Lexapro or the others, but you never know till you talk to them.

Go see a nutritionist, or a holistic doctor. You may not need any meds at all. Your symptoms could probably be greatly reduced by finding the cause to your problem. You could be experiencing pmdd because of your diet, allergies, hormone levels, vitamin deficiencies. They can put you on a special diet and different natural supplements and vitamins that can really help you. Both my sisters are studying to become nutritionists and they suggested that I see a holisitic doctor when I was having severe sinus headaches for over a year. I had been to every doctor you can think of, had every kind of allergy medication in my closet, migraine medicine, you name it, I had it. When no one could figure out why I was having these headaches, I was told to see a neurologist to get medication to take daily and I wasn't about to do that, so I went to the holistic doctor. As it turns out, I am allergic to dairy food, and once I stopped eating it, my headaches went away. A friend of mine used to have debilitating cramps before her period, where she'd be in bed for days straight. She was also allergic to dairy and since she stopped eating it, her cramps dissappeared. I could go on with stories. Try it because it might really really help.

good luck!

Jen
