Hi,
unfortunately we can't diagnose you over the internet even if we were doctors, therapists or pharmisists. Make sure you have a doctor who doesn't mind you asking questions. If you're not feeling yourself then be open to the doctor and ask him/her if being on Prozac could manifest side effects like bipolar. Perhaps with a doctor's consent you could experiment a trial of no medication at all. You should only do that under strict doctors supervision. Good luck.

i have no clue if this will help you but i was on a different anti-depressant every year for 6 yrs. they would all work for approx. a yr and then they would stop. i was finally sent to a therapist and he told me i was bipolar. i have been on 300mg of lamictal for the last few yrs and lately it works well. i still have highs and lows but they are not as extreme.
i have done a lot of research on bipolar and as far as i know it is genetic and can not be caused by another medication. i went to a biofeedback doctor and he really helped me. but he was also exceptionally cool though. so i think i lucked out
i was also very very open with my dr though. it helps the dr so much if he/she knows what u r going through.

Bipolar would not be caused by the medication.
