My son calls all family members one at a time and carries on long dialogs with the person or their voice mail. He is usually carrying on about how he was wronged or how this one or that one is a bad person. As time passes he acts as though nothing happen. He can be a drama king, annoying or just plan scary.

Hi Mailme,
It does sound probable, but I would definitely take him to a local therapist or counselor to make sure.
He may also just know how to manipulate the family as well.
Best,
Clyde

mailme, you might have a son who needs more attention than he is receiving. I know how difficult it can be to fit more time into your schedule for him, but I would give it a try for a few weeks to see if that's "all" he needs. Positive attention, doing things together that he likes to do, listening to him, finding out how he thinks about his life, all those areas are good ones to delve into with him.
If you don't have MORE time, then really make an effort to give him QUALITY time, plan it together so he can become excited and talk about it, and then be sure to do it and have fun. I think you'll see his behavior change then.
