I am feeling less self worth due to not being able to work
anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions since this diagnoses was placed upon my head ....
I feel so lost without working, I love to help others, I am
a drug therapist for addictions. Now I feel it was a waste of time getting my degree.

Hi, you can always volunteer! There are so many places that desperately need volunteers and with your qualifications you would be much valued.
If you arent able to volunteer outside of the home, then why not spend time helping people online :)

Why can't you work anymore?? Is it that you can't find work in this field or you're disabled? I agree with Chemar with the volunteering idea - chosoe something you're passionate about. Good luck, Bella

I think you are cutting yourself too short...perhaps you can volunteer or find another place close to you to work?
I dont ever think any degree is a waste of time, personally. Just think of all the knowledge you have and you may also be able to find a job online dealing with addictions?
Best,
Clyde

I totally understand how you feel. I worked in the medical field until I got sick (BiPolar) and the doctor put me on disability. I already felt worthless because I was sick and this just made it worse. I wish you all the best and I hope you find something that fills that loss! Take care!
