I was looking through the pictures stored on my phone and I came across a picture of a penis. I was shocked when I saw it, but when I looked closer, I realized that it was my 10 year old son. I am so sick and disappointed in him and I fear that there is something really wrong with him to do this. Do I need to seek professional help for him, or is this normal? He is going through early puberty and has pubic hair already. I am freaking out about this. What do I do?

Hi there,

I would definitely discuss this with him firstly. He could of sent this out to a girl, a guy, anyone. I would wonder and inquire as to where he sent this, if he did, or if he was just playing around.

If he was just playing around (and you have no way of verifying that he sent it anywhere or that HE CAN email it anywhere), I would definitely explain to him that this is not a correct thing to do.

Have there been other issues? If there has been, I would say he needs to see a therapist soon. If there has not been anything else going on, and his moods, etc., have not changed, then that may be different.

I woke him up that night and confronted him, but then I asked my husband, his dad, who is a Parole Officer and supervises sex offenders to talk to him. We both explained to him that I could have gotten into alot of trouble if someone would have seen that because they would have thought it was child porn. He hasn't done anything like this at all and his moods are fine. He can't send it to anyone from my phone or down load it because I have those things blocked on my phone. I don't text and I can't receive text so I know he didn't send it to anyone. My husband boiled it down to the fact that guys just like to look at their parts, but explained to him that he doesn't need to take pictures of it. Needless to say he is grounded and feels the sting of his wrong doing. Thanks for answering me. I was freaking out.

All you guys are sick, why do you need the pics to tell if he was doing it for fun or not and you can't tell if he is gay by looking at his penis I hope the mother hasn't sent them to any of you, you sick f******.
