About four years ago I was at my neurologist's office getting the results of an MRI of my brain. The doctor reached over and patted me on the knee and said how sorry she was because I had the brain of an eighty year old. I ask her if it was Alzheimer's, and she said no. I ask what else could cause this? And she said, she did not know. Can medications or mild seizures cause this type of brain damage? And is dementia always progressive?
