Hi there (((Natasha)))
Most definitely check and see if the medications are the issue. Lots of times, people think that since they are put on medications, the doc will know EXACTLY how they will feel after being on them, etc., which is not always true.
You have to be vocal to your therapist, especially if you feel the treatment is not sufficient.
Even with your therapy, you may have to come out and tell the T that you are not getting much help out of it, and ask if possible something else (such as Jean's CBT) could be done.
Best,
Clyde

((natasha))) depression is tough, isn't it?! How long has it been since the medicine has been adjusted or changed? How long were you in psychotherapy?
You've had a lot of problems in your life and it could be that you've been depressed for so long that it will take a long time to pull out of it.
You might find a book about cognitive behavior therapy, and begin working on changing your thinking... even though you might think noting will help... CBT can. If you find a therapist that will work this with you, you will probably begin feeling better sooner than later. But therapy isn't easy, and you need to stick with it. Hard work, but you are worth it. Besides, how will you be feeling for years ahead if you don't work on healing?
