When I was a teenager I was diagnosed as being a "purging anorexic" as well as depression and anxiety issues..for the past two weeks i feel sick to my stomach all day and spend most of my time dry heaving. there has been alot of stress the past month but i thought i have been handling it well. i went to my family dr. and he said he doesnt see anything other then maybe a "virus", pregnancy test was negative.. my husband and mother think it is "in my head" and i dont know what to think

Well, it could definitely be possible. Have you asked your Doc about the eating disorder issue?
How severe was the virus? It could be making you sick as well.

alittlelost, I'm certainly reading your concern about this in your question. Can you find similarities other than the dry heaves, to when you were dealing with the eating disorder before?
Drink more water, firstly, to help prevent the dry heaves. If it's only been the last two weeks, it could very well be a virus (but I'm not a medical doctor.)
You mentioned more stress; do you generally sense stress in your stomach? Can you practice some stress relieving strategies to try and offset some of it? If the situation that is causing the extra stress is going to last a while, then finding a therapist to help you cope would be a good idea, and help you prevent poor coping (such as the eating issues.)
If you can though, try and give yourself freedom from worrying right now, as it just could be a fleeting virus.
