Hello, my name is Krisha. I'm only a fifteen year old girl, but i value the fact that i can speak well in conversations for older people. I never really thought that the way my brain worked was something to be scared of, but after re-searching about it and taking several quizzes in you're website, i scored a 'severe depression.' I know very well not to depend on that as a diagnosis, but I have a past that i can't speak of because of the growing pain i still get when i remember it. What should i do? Im terrified of talking to a proffesional, because likely i will think i am crazy, which frankly i know i am. I don't know what to do.

Hey Krisha
Firstly, don't fret about the surveys, its possible you depressed but that is nothing to be ashamed of. 1 in 3 people suffer from some kind of mental illness in their life times so it very very common.
If there are things in your past that you think have had an affect then my recommendation would be that you need to seek councilling. Only by talking about these issues can you gain any perspective on them and learn to put them behind you. I would honestly say therapy is the best answer, other wise these things that haunt you will only get worse over time.
If you honestly believe it is depression (I'm sure you have looked up the affects of depression so have a pretty good idea) then something like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can really help. I had an anxiety disorder once and this therapy really helped me challenge it and move on with my life.
Good luck!

Hi Krisha
the fact that you experience painful memories over what happened in the past is a clear sign that you do need help to deal with it
Therapists are trained to understand that many people suffer mental health problems for a number of reasons, some of which can be helped by therapy alone and some of which need medication. They dont label you "crazy"...they understand that mental illness, like body illness, has a cause and they try to find ways to make it better for you
If you were running a high fever, it would indicate that something is making your body ill, and you would go to the doctor for it. Same thing with your mind...if it is doing things that bother you, please talk to your parents(s) about going to see a qualified professional. You are young and deserve to be liberated from whatever it is that is causing you this mental burden.
hope that helps

I agree with the other posters that you can't depend on internet quizzes - someone could be having a really bad day and that's why they score badly. If you're dealing with a painful past, I think you should talk to a professional. You could start with your school counsellor. If you think you're depressed it's nothing to be ashamed of like Chemar said. Mental health professionals don't use the word crazy -mental illness is as real as any other illness. Take care, Bella

I know how you feel I feel like I can't talk to counselors either but it might help you. I think you might start off maybe talking to a parent about it or a school counselor and then maybe move up to a therapist. It might help. Please don't say you are crazy because your not. Depression is not something that is crazy it's an illness like any other illness. Hope this helps. Take Care.
