Hi Verify,
I'm sorry you are going through this. You are showing signs of depression. Or it could be a phase. Sometimes at a certain age we don't like how we look or we wish for something different, everyone experiences this. How old are you?
Take care.

Hi
so many things can cause depressed feelings! It could be anything from hormonal changes, depending on your age, to your diet (low carbs have been associated with increased depression) or even chemical imbalances in your brain/nervous system. Sometimes it is related more to our surroundings or events that have occurred.
You are doing the right thing to be seeking support and advice about it.
Therapy begins by just talking with others who understand, or who at least will listen( even if they dont have answers...)
there will always be someone here when you need to release more. hope you find answers to help you feel better.

I agree with the above posts that you sound depressed. you can try some self help techniques and if after a couple months you don't feel better then you can go to your doctor or speak with a school counsellor. Like Chemar said there are many different types of depression soemtimes circumstantial and other times organic/chemical imbalance causes.
Being a teenager can be tough with all the pressures of school and the transition from being a child to an adult. You mention you don't eat lunch - it's very important not to skip meals. Think of food as fuel for your body, so if you skip it will make you feel tired. I also HIGHLY recommend regular physical exercise - it can make a HUGE difference in your energy and positive outlook on life. It will also help you concentrate at school and sleep better. I know it's hard to get motivated but just force yourself. If you make a conscious effort to eat very healthy and exercise you may feel better. Treat your body like it's precious and love yourself even if you're not perfect - after all who is - right?
Your body is just sending you some signals to pay attention and get you self back in balance again. It's well known that young people who exercise do better in school. Try this out religously for a couple months and if there's no improvement then go see your doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

It could very well be. Have you tried talking to your parents or a school counselor?
They may recommend you see a therapist to deal with your feelings, but that can be a good thing.
Best,
Clyde

There's depression, which all of us experience sometimes....and then there's clinical depression....very serious, and sounds to me like this is what you have.
I would see a Dr. immediately and most probably you will be given an anti-depressant...zoloft, prosac, or something.....
People who I have known who have had clinical depression...and some top celebrities as well: Mike Wallace, Ted Turner, etc. have said it changed their lives!
