I have been taking Lexapro (10mg) for about 6 months now, it has made me gain a huge amount of weight and has made me extremely lazy. I moved to bristol (England) and the doctor here says he cant prescribe lexapro because its expensive and also because its not helping me. He has prescribed 70mg Lofepramine. I have ONLY 4 tablets of Lexapro left how do i wean myself off of them? and what time of the day do I have to take Lofepramine? Do I stop taking Lexapro before starting Lofepramine? or I should start while weaning myself off of lexapro?
Also, please share your experiences with Lofepramine. Does it make you less lazy? does it help you concentrate and do things? weight gain or loss? does it control obsessiveness? what time of the day do you take it?
Thank you so very much! I would much appreciate any comments.

In answer to your first paragraph, I believe your doctor would be able to answer and is more qualified to answer those medical questions. When he prescribed the 70mg Lofepramine, that would have been a good time to ask him about how to stop taking the Lexapro. Most drugs are taken first thing in the morning, unless prescribed otherwise by your doctor.
Personally I have had no experience with these drugs, however if you Google them, I am sure you will find information about them. Meanwhile, maybe there is someone who can answer your question about their experiences with the effects of Lofepramine.

Yes, the doctor would be the best person to ask about this.
Please ask soon, but I am sure that the transfer has been thought of by your doc.
