Hi! I'm not a therapist, i'm just an average person. But i think that if you feel depressed it's very important to get help before it gets worse or you feel suicidal. If you can't or you are scared to tell your parents, try talking with your school councler. Or try speaking to a close friend that you think would understand, because it's hard dealing with depression or sadness alone. My mom didn't believe me when i told her i was depressed a year ago, she thought i was too young to experience depression and that i know nothing about feeling depressed, so your parents might consider it a phase or just a time you are going through. It's true, this is just permanent, but i know it feels as if it will never end and the pain just gets stronger with every day. But there are always sunny days after a rainy weather no matter how hard it's raining. And when i asked my mom that she would take me to the psychiatrist, she didn't so i was left alone to deal with it. But i really suggest you telling your parents or the school councler, if you think it's best to not, then tell a friend you trust, just try talking to them.

I hope this helps.

Best of luck to you.

These things are like trying to pull off bandaids. Imagine asking "how I pull this bandaid off without it hurting?" There's no easy way, you just have to say okay, here it goes! and force yourself to do something painful that you know you have to do. Just start saying it and it'll get easier the more you discuss it.

hey,

im dealing with the same thing right now. I've tried hinting at it, but it hasn't really worked. I guess the way to go is to just do it... But I hope you get better soon (God knows depression sucks)

Yes, I agree...you just have to tell them. If you wait longer, it can be worse.

You may, like mentioned previously, go talk to a counselor or whatever, and see if they could either help you or give you advice about it.

Best,

Clyde

I have been depressed for 2 years now and I've tried dealing with it but I just couldn't. If you want to help yourself you need to tell your parnets you think your depressed and they will help you.(it's easier to treat I when you just have it, any good parent will do anything for their children) and if you talk to a doc, counsler, theropist, or whoever you will need to tell the truth otherwise it can get worse. It's good you want to get help but let me warn you it's not easy but if you hang in their you will feel much better. Also if your parents won help you tell one of your friends your true friend(s) will want to help. Good luck. Sammy
