sorry if this is bothersome.... i dislike my self in every way shape and form i cant stand my looks my life or any thing about it. i feel like i bother every one and i'm always in the way and i always put people be for me. i don't like asking for help but is there any thing i can do to make things okay for people and for me so i don't want to die so i don't have suicidal thoughts all the time so every one else can be happy and i can be out of the way? i don't know how to fix things and i need to.

Well first of all you can't start by not being sorry so much. It sounds like you're struggling with self esteem and you have some family issues going on. It's possible that your parents are struggling with their own issues and it's reflecting on you. How old are you? It's very important to learn how to be happy with yourself even if you don't look perfect. You need to learn how to be happy with yourself and you're not responsible for other peoples happiness - it's the best gift you can give yourself. I blame most of the low self esteem of young women on the beauty industry - for depicting the typical thin flawless look which only reflects 3% of the total population. It's also important to think of what you're grateful for and how it could be worse. If you don't feel better then visit your doctor or school counsellor. Don't worry you're not a bother to us. Sounds like self-esteem, depression and a multitude of other issues. What is your age?

I dont see anything negative about you. You seem to care enough about yourself to try and get help--why not talk to your school counselor (if you are still in school) or a therapist?

I think you will be super surprised in what you find.

You want an honest answer? Okie..

1) Everyone has something about themselves they hate or want to change - at some point.

2) Most of the time, they are right. We are all humans. We are NOT perfect. And we are here to learn, grow, and change. This is the miracle of being alive ;-)

3) Since you wrote this out, that means you actually want to make a change. You said you can't stand yourself, so let's start with the negativity. If you are like I was in my self loathing days, I could not stand it because I was so negative about myself. You can list some of the other things you don't like about yourself, but keep it to things you can work on.

4) Now it is time to get to work! You have a choice about how you want to move forward. Do you want to stay stuck in the negative mood? Or do you want to make changes that will bring you joy and a brand new life? Seriously, I ask this because some people don't want to be happy - and that is just fine. But if you realize you do have the ability to make this choice, well that is the very first step in the right direction! :-)

5) Now make another list that is how you WANT to be in five years. Some people say one year, but I did a five year list that I ended up updating every year as I got more self confident.

Example: I am articulate.

I enjoy the small things in life.

I am fun to be around.

Every single morning look at that list. Put it on the mirror if you need to. Read it aloud.

At the end of the day, go back and read the list again and think of one example in the day where you did or were what the list says. Do that for each item.

You have the power over your own joy.
