I have been dealing with suicidal tendencies since middle school, but I'm a junior now. I am seeing a therapist and it helps, but she's been away for a month and my next appointment isn't until the end of this month.
Anways, since I was a little kid whenever I do or go somewhere I always think it's going to end in the worse-case scenario which involves severe death, such as whenever I go into an elevator I think the elevator will drop me to my death, or if I ride in a car the car will crash, or if my parents are late to pick me up at school they've died somehow, or if I'm home alone then someone's going to be hiding somewhere waiting for me. Even when I went to Disneyland last week I kept thinking the ride I'm on would crash or explode.
I'm always thinking about death whether it would happen to me or someone else. I know it's okay to be paranoid about death once in a while but I'm talking about this happening daily for years. I'm not sure what to do about it either, if it might be a symptom to something or if therapy can help or I'm not sure what else...

Hey DrSkipper,
it must be very exhausting for you having so much anxiety around you all the time.
What your describing sounds like symptoms of some kind of anxiety disorder. We are not professionals here and it's impossible to diagnose over the internet.
The good thing is, that this is very treatable with the right kind of therapy. Usually cognitive behavioral therapy. You need to be thoroughly assessed by a good psychologist or psychiatrist first to see which kind of anxiety you have, as that will direct the treatment that you need. You might have what is called generalized anxiety disorder. Or you could have a form of OCD obsessive compulsive disorder. Either way it's important for you to be diagnosed properly.
Whilst you wait for your therapist to return here is a link to information on Anxiety disorders, signs, symptoms and treatment options. If you scroll down you will see some self help tips for how to stop worrying. I encourage you to have a good look at this site.

I wish you well.
It does sound like some kind of anxiety. I definitely would let the therapist know about what is going on.
She should be able to treat you for it.
Best,
