Clio,
From what I have seen you have done nothing wrong. If a person is screaming at you constantly, drinking all the time and you are worried about your kids being around this man--doesnt that tell you something?
Please get to a safe house, or a friends house asap. Do not tell this man where you are going to or with whom. Pack up and go...not saying he is violent towards you, but what would be the next step after continually yelling, drinking, and being worried for the kids?
Do you honestly think it will get better and do you think its because of something you did?
Please get out of there soon! Bless you...

Its Clear that you know something is wrong in the relationship. Your inner self is afraid, unsure, and especially concerned for your children. These are all warning signs that "you" have seen. The next step is to find safety for yourself and kids. There are many secure places for families. Call your local agencies for locations, or call a close friend who can assist you. It may also be helpful to let your Boss know about some details, because your boyfriend may seek you there. Your senses are telling you something is wrong and what to do..."either fight or flight"; I suggest flee from the abuse and seek help for yourself and especially the children. You deserve better and your children too. I support you at this difficult season. Have "faith" in your inner feelings.

As others have said, it sounds like you know this is the wrong relationship for you and your kids.
A local domestic violence organization might be the first place to look, if another friend or family can't help.
If you're uncertain about your choices, and what ramifications they might have in your life, talk to a counselor. A women's shelter or domestic violence organization often have them available to help you think through and work out options that make the most sense to you.
