So, the past week and a half I was depressed beyond reason. I started cutting [again] and I felt nothing. I didnt enjoy anything, or feel anything or do anything. I didnt eat much, and I stayed up until 2 and slept until 11. Then today, out of nowhere I was hyper beyond explaination. I ate two full meals, and I woke up at 9 after falling asleep at 3-ish and was totally energized. Is that normal?

Steph, it sounds like you've been really having a tough time lately! I'm wondering if you have ever been evaluated by a mental health professional for bipolar (cycling mood disorder)? I have bipolar II, and "rapid cycling" moods can occur with either Bipolar I or II, especially if you are not on a mood stabilizer medication. I don't know what your previous experience has been with these symptoms or if you have received diagnoistic evaluation and treatment, but I would strongly encourage you to do so. Your experiencing depression for 1 1/2 weeks followed by becoming "suddenly hyper" seems like it could really fit into the category of a rapid-cycling version of a bipolar disorder. If so, these symptoms can be very treatable with the right combination of medication and therapy and lifestyle. I really hope you can get some help soon, especially as you're dealing with (recurrent?) SI as well. I hope you can take the steps you need to feel better again soon. You're in my prayers.

Sounds like to me either bipolar or borderline disorders.
You really do need to find a best combination of medication and therapy that will benefit you in your life. I know you are trying to do it, and I respect you for it, but you need to make sure a T is involved and that you are being taken care of by others as well.
