I'm 16 and have now been struggling with feeling sad and lost for about 2 years. I want to tell someone about it but feel like my friends will leave me and stop talking to me and I'll be all alone. I can't tell me parents because i feel like they'll not want me anymore. i cry a lot and have felt suicideal. i've started bad habits and i don't know what to do.

I'm roughly the same age (18) and i felt like you do, i was sad all the time and couldn't stop crying. i didn't tell anyone and eventually my mum noticed and got me to the doctors and i was diagnosed with severe depression but couldn't get any tablets for it because i was under 18. since then I've been on mirtazapine and it worked but it was hard for me because i didn't know if i was really happy so i stopped taking them. i now have bi polar which is better and worse.
please tell someone about this because they may not notice themselves. when i explain my condition to new people i get them to look it up on the Internet because people often confuse depression with laziness which is a shame but it happens.
tell your mum or dad or older relative because someone your own age probably wont be able to help.
pm me if you need to talk

You don't have to tell your parents...but you do need to tell someone. I suggest someone at your school. A guidance counselor, the principal or your favorite teacher. Ask them to help you get the help you need for those horrible feelings.
I doubt your parents would not want you. They do indeed love you, deep down, and only want the best for you. Getting you the help you need is their job as parents.
Ask an adult to help you, and keep asking until you get the help you need.
Take care

Hi there Michirat789!
You really do need to tell someone...preferably your parents. They will still want you. (((Hugs)))
You really do need to let them know. If you kill yourself, they will feel worse than they could feel then.
You at least need to let them know about the bad habits, so they and you can find a way around them and a way to change them.
