I recently tried to write a book.... yeah. Well it didnt go so good. I really liked it. Great plot, cool characters... My mom said it was awsome (What eles was she to say? It sucks?) well I thought I finaly found my hobbie! It was around 100 pages, font 10. I showed my friends and I told them to tell me the truth and they said it stunk! Yeah, that made my day. Its getting harder and harder to wake up with the thoughts in my head that I will amount to nothing! Well do any of you know a great site that could help me find something i'm good at? Or something easy a dumb blond could do? :D thanks for all your help...

First your not a dumb blonde and that you will amount to nothing. This is not true! Everyone has different opinions so some people might not like your story but others might. Everyone has a hobby or something they are good at..you might just not have found it yet. Like I'm good at writing..I didn't find it right away though. I realized it when all I wanted to do was write and some people liked my writings but others don't. That's not what matters. What matters is if you like to do it or not. It's your hobby. If someone's hobby is collecting rocks some people do something else..but collecting rocks might interest them. It's just what you enjoy to do. Hope this helps!

If you like writing, you keep doing it. There are lots of great writers who first work (and I am not saying it is bad or it is good) may not be the best.

You just have to keep hammering it out. You like doing it, right? It is important to your mental and physical health to keep doing it. They are not the ones who make you happy--you are...so keep doing it!

Best,

I agree with Lorrie and Clyde....when we find something we enjoy doing we should keep at it. it doesnt matter if others like it or think we are good at it...what matters is how we feel about it and the satisfaction it beings to us

Many of the world's most talented people were initially ridiculed by others, so dont let others put you off doing what you enjoy!

Hi, I had almost the same problem. Unlike you I was pretty good at many things, but at the same time I couldn't find the one that would make ME happy. So I tried many things, in the end I've found the one. I'm not very good at it but I'm very happy now. One more thing, it's not bad to experience different things, it means you are curious person, so may be it's your hobbie?

A hobby is not something that has to be directly constructive, a hobby is something that you truly find interest in, something that if you spent enough time into it, you would keep improving until the point where other people with other hobbys will recognize your commitment, and only then will you have amounted to something to other people, but far before that point will you have amounted to something to yourself.

but FIRST, you have to find what you like to do. What are your interets. what do you think could be cool if you were good at at? literally possibilities are endless, but crucial. Hobbys make a person. filling their lives with an undieing torch of passion. A sense of purpose and happiness.
