I have decided to see a therapist about my depression, phobia of dead people and other things that have been going on in my head lately....namely he fact that I recently realized that I have suppressed to a large extent all the negative aspects of my early childhood and I believe it is affecting other aspects of my life.
Problem is...how do I choose the right one?
I can't afford those $600 an hour therapists...$200-$300 is my limit. Also I just have this lack of faith in therapists to help me on the whole.
I know I need professional help, but I need more than someone who is just qualified on paper.
So how do you go about choosing the right therapist?

I recommend speaking to your general physician and tell him/her you need one who specializes in therapy related to phobia's - cognitive behavior therapist. Some therapists may give the first consultation free. Make sure you ask lots of questions and see how you feel when you first meet. Best of luck.
