I have an intense hate for my stomach and the way it feels looks actually it's my lower stomach woomb area.
Ever since I was a child I have hated it intensely.
I am not fat or overweight but I'm not stick think or bony even at times where I have been very very thin my stomach/woomb area has always been what I refer to as my tyre
it pretrudes out and is like a little tyre thing it drives me nuts.
I have only ever seen something slightly similar on very obese people but mine is not as extreme.
I have never seen it on a girl my size ect.
It makes me feel so digusting and if i had the money I would cut it off completely.
My problem is if anyone ever touches me there even by mistake i flip out or have to have serious calming thoughts to feel ok.
otherwise i feel disgusting angry ect ect I am having a similar problem when my boyfriend touches me intimately however the stomach problem has been around for as long as I can remember.
If it is touched i lose my appetite i feel depressed unworthy lose sex drive lose any happy feelings and i just feel like shit.
I have tried so many things to be able to cope from thinking calm thoughts, actually slowly getting someone to touch it trying to be ok with it but nothing works.
I should be happy it's actually gotten smaller as I have lost 11kg (25lbs) however I was more "ok" with my tummy beforehand.
ahh I don't know what to do and I don't want it to impact my relationship because my boyfriend is amazing.

Hi Beatrice,
just to let you know we're not doctors or therapists - just people who give advice. I'm fairly sure you have what's called 'body dysmorphic disorder' - where you become excessively focused on a perceived fault, to the point where it causes anxiety. Here is a link that explains the disorder:
Was your baby big or did you have a C section. Have you tried weight lifting - this can really tone up the abdominal muscles. Like you said losing weight won't fix it - it's sagging skin and lose muscles. I think you should consult a therapist who specializes in this disorder.
You could also have a tummy tuck done, but remember this is major surgery. Just fixing it surgically won't take away the emotional basis to how you're feeling. As you get older there may be other problems that will make you have anxiety as well, so it's important you receive the proper psychological counselling. I'm sure you also realize that you're more worried about this than your partner is, so try to relax. Please consult with a psychologist and I hope you feel better soon,
Bella

It definitely sounds like an eating disorder, probably body dysmorphic disorder.
Can you talk to a therapist or your doctor about this?
