My fiance ex wife is starting to change herself to look like me. At first it was her style of clothing changed from big disney shirts and sweats. To trendy styles. I thought no biggie maybe she needs a change. Then each week she would show up at drop off with similar clothes i wore before.Last week she came with the SAME shirt and the SAME earrings I wore the week before. It was weird. This week she shows up with her hair dyed jet black like mine. I didnt say anything I just put on a smile and as I turned around I wanted to vomit. It really hit me. I was scared. My fiance say its no big deal. She always tries to be like others but I am not a friend of hers and it really bothers me.Am I right to be worried or am I over reacting?

Hi Snowwhite,

I understand some people don't like when others copy them, but I wouldn't worry about. In reality copying is actually a huge compliment to you. I think it's silly and immature on her part. She's probably very impressionable and lacks her own fashion sense.

Is she trying to get him back at all? It she was sabotaging your relationship and also trying to look like you - then I might be worried that she's trying to be you for real. Maybe next time you see her, wear a blonde wig and see what happens LOL. Really I think it's more she really likes your style.

Just a tip - try not to think of the ex as your adversary. I believe that ex's should always be civil to each other especially for the children. Don't let it bug you and good luck with your fiance

Hah! I was going to say something like wear a wig too! I was going to suggest you wear a really nasty, huge hat. Maybe you could wear one of those giant foam #1 fingers and say it's the latest thing out of Paris. LOL

I think it kind of works in your favor, too. It shows that you've got an infectuous style, and that she's not so confident. Yeah, it's creepy, but whatever, he's not with her. It's kinda funny, too.

I too think it is important to stay civil with the ex-wife for the sake of the children.

Best,

Clyde
