I have attempted suicide only 5 months ago. Since then, I still have constant thoughts. I don't have a plan as of yet, and I do see a counselor and a psychiatrist. I have told my counselor about my constant thoughts, but i down play them alot. I have an appointment coming up with my psychiatrist next week and I want to either tell her how serious i feel about this, or let it go and keep it to myself! Sometimes, I feel like maybe I should be in the hospital, other times I just really want to go no where and give in to these thoughts. I don't know what to do anymore.

Well, you really shouldnt downplay it that much, then. Honestly, you should just come out and tell them. After all, it will help you in the long run.
Imagine if this was a leak in a cup you were drinking out of. Talking about the leak in the cup wouldn't do much, would it?
However, if you find a way to fix the leak, you are taking better care of yourself that way.
Find a way to fix the leak--dont allow yourself to drip away.
Best,
Clyde

Yes, I think it is a good idea to talk about it, especially with someone who is familiar with these kinds of thoughts. And there is a good chance that you will feel some relief right away, and that you will begin to recover. And that is a very good thing. It may be hard to recall what feeling good feels like, but you can get there. Seriously, give your self a chance to heal, give your 'self' that chance, and you will find more reasons to keep trying. And it is so worth it, because you are the only one on this planet who can be you, and that is always a good thing. Ninety-five percent of what it takes to have a good life is just the willingness to get up in the morning and give it another try, to just show up for life and keep going. Wonderful, truly wonderful things can happen, and do happen to us if we are only willing to give it a chance.
