Hi Oasis!

Have you practiced any other kind of relaxation skills? What is your age?

Could you journal or go back to the music, even if it doesnt help to do things for you, at least for a creative outlet?

Could you talk to a counselor or a therapist about what is going on? Is there a wife, significant other, or family friend to talk to about all of this as well? Maybe they can give some good advice as well?

Best,

Clyde

You say you bottle many things up regarding your past. I agree with Clyde that you need someone to talk to a therapist and good friends or family. It would also be a good idea to get a physical done - tell the doctor what happens when you get mad - you need to find out why you're getting hot and dizzy. Another thing I would advise you to get into is meditation. You know Tom Bergeron from Funniest Home Vidoes - he admitted he has a problem with anger and he said what helped him the most was meditation. It will take some time to learn it and in the meantime you can practice simple deep slow breathing exercises. It's always better to deal with problems calmly istead of bottling them up, where they'll fester. Best of luck, Bella

Hello Angryone, and Beatrix, and my fellow friends,

PART 1

I also feel angry towards my parents. I am only 22. without revealing my life events in detail...I can complain that they have emotionally neglected me and abused me. My parents worked hard to put my sister and me through school. Father had to work out of town for few years. During which time my mom was left with all the responsibilities + she worked. My sister had issues. thus, it kept my mom stressed. all the while, I am just doing my thing...high-school. dad is also busy worrying about my sister. Thus, during this two-year period, they pretty much neglected me, because I didn't have any problems. I studied hard, got good grades and had a job while in high-school. I rarely had a meaningful conversation with my parents, except: "everything is going good? I answer, "yes." "OK". My dad rarely showed any interest in my life. While he was away (most of the time), we talked once a week and it was just the routine -- everything is going goo? OK. He, like my mom, was stressed about my sister. my parents talked to her, tried to help her resolve her issues. so, they got to know emotionally.
