yeah....again i agree with jessie tonight, lol....remember our brain does stuff automatically to 'protect' us. And ur not the only one...there are times when a lot of us don't want to lie, but in the back of our minds we're more afraid to tell the truth. And maybe u subconsciously rationalized that lying would be easier. Arguing with oneself is nothing strange...and it doesn't mean ur crazy...it happens...don't worry about it,...if it's really bothering you...it's never to late to go to the person you lied to and come clean, while explaining things....but i can guess ur sanity will say otherwise, lol.
Best of luck though! Dusky.

I feel it could be that you might of been scared of the alternative, and you felt that by lying, it would get you out of the questioners way and you could move on to safer ground?
I agree with Dusky...why not go back and tell the people you lied to and explain that you were scared?
Best,
Clyde

I'm sorry you felt you had to lie, it's such an uncomfortable feeling, I think. But you lied because you believed that the 'truth' is/was invalid and would not be accepted by your listener (the person you lied to). When we believe something is right we stand behind it, support it and even fight for it. You did none of these things because your heart, mind nor ego cannot support the 'truth' whatever it is/was. This is your mind and ego acting instinctively to protect itself from facing the ugly, cold hard truth again. But the lie really doesn't protect you (from your own feelings). The lie tries to dissolve the truth and keep truth out of reach of your listener. When people are not afraid to tell the truth is is because they really enjoy the truth and simply, to tell a lie would deny them enjoying that real, tangible truth. Practice telling the truth, and telling ugly news with compassion.
