I have been taking 600mg of Seroquel for just over 2 1/2 years now for bipolar disorder, depression and insomnia. I unfortunately do experience side effects, but nothing that would cause actual harm. My question is, can I actually die from the withdrawal of suddenly stopping my Seroquel? I have dealt with it a few times and the symptoms I get from missing it is SO BAD that I feel like I am going to die!!!! I have never felt such insane craziness in my head and unbelievable physical symptoms like when I run out of my RX!!!!
I do not know but you could ask your pharmacist. Generally it is not a good idea to stop psych medications suddenly or without doctor supervision. It sounds like you have to stop because you run out. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about this. Maybe he is not giving you enough refills. Talk to your doctor or your pharmacist so they are aware of the side affects you have from the medications and the affects of stopping it. They should be aware so they can help minimize them for you. All my best, Junie

Thank you for answering. The only reason why I am scared of dying is cause of how severe my withdrawal symptoms are. To be honest, I am a recovering addict that was using 24/7 for many years and the withdrawal from Seroquel is the worst I have EVER dealt with. I will talk to my Dr. and thank you again.

I definitely would talk to your psychiatrist about it, and your pharmacist.
It probably is not life ending, but if you are that worried, I would definitely talk to them.
