We have talk about this before telling him that this really bothers me, but even that is less he continues doing it. It has ruin good moments, sometimes I prefer not to say anything to avoid problems. Any input in how can I handle this situation?

Have you two talked to a local minister, friend, or counselor yet about this?
A therapist may be good too.
However, the very first thing I would do would be to communicate with your husband--ask him first and by yourselves in your home--why he feels the need to do so--even when it is "ruining good moments," and you would like to find out.
It sounds like he has an inferiority complex, for sure, but I would talk to him firstly and privately. Ask why he does what he does, and mention to him how it bothers you.
Make sure you let him know how it hurts you, makes you feel unattractive to him, and not as important to him.

Hopefully he changes soon.
