Hi
how upsetting for you!
For starters, I do want to suggest you eliminate all of those files from your computer. That is considered child pornography and is illegal and could get you into a lot of trouble if found on your laptop!! ***editing in!! please see the messages below advising to report this asap rather than delete as it could have legal ramifications on you!***
Where porn has become a lot more prevalent in the Internet age, still, teen porn is imho indicative of something not ok. Those are CHILDREN!!!
If you love this man and want to try to work this out, then yes, you could try counseling. But only you know deep down whether your trust in him has been irrevocably damaged. A relationship without trust is often doomed as the distrust niggles and festers and pervades all aspects eventually.
hoping the best for you, whatever you decide

I agree with Chemar. I admire your courage in handling this. If you want to have children one day then I think it's best to break up with him - because it would be difficult to trust him. It would be a long and painful road going to counselling. He would first need to admit he has a problem and most men who look at child pornography rarely want to stop it. Not all men who look at porn delve into child pornography. I used to think men looking at regular porn wasn't that bad, but I have changed my opinion. We've had many questions regarding men losing their desire because they're addicted to porn. Yes it's exciting at first but the man eventually becomes desensitized to normal sex - he then finds it difficult to perform in real life because he's used to excessive stimulation. You sound like a strong woman who knows what she wants - I don't think you want this burden. Best of luck.

Do not eliminate those pictures. REPORT HIM to the police for child porn...those kids need help!
Do not go to counseling, that is basically the wrong idea, especially if it involves going with him.
Imagine being one of those girls and wanting some one to come help them and you delete their files?
Imagine if it was your daughter?
You may need counseling of your own, to help you over this. I am very sorry to hear what has happened.
Best,
Clyde

I agree with reporting it. This would certainly scare the heck out of him and teach him a lesson.
It also makes me mad that these young women are doing this. This is slightly different than kids under 13 who can't defend themselves. Where are these girls parents and why weren't they taught better. So frustrating!!

Viewing child pornography is illegal. I don't wish to frighten you, but if you remove the photo's you could well be charged with tampering with evidence.
I want to assure you that not all men look at pornography and not all men are interested in child pornography. Man men find pornography degrading to women and do no view it. Despite what some people may tell you, that it's normal for men to do it, and that all men do, and it's not a problem and it doesn't mean he doesn't love you. You don't have to accept those responses from people, you are fully entitled to find viewing any kind of pornography as unsettling and degrading to you as a woman.
There is a greater issue involved in pornography and that is the exploitation of women and children.
We don't know who those girls in the photo's were. We don't know what culture they came from, and whether they were forced to pose for those pictures. Teenage girls rarely choose to engage in pornography and are not able to make informed decisions about what they are doing.
Those children are crime victims.
I am glad that you are moving out of the house and away from your partner. When you move, I think it is a good idea that you think about reporting your partner. You might want to seek the help of a counselor in guiding you through this process. You can also report this anonymously if you like.

I am sorry you felt the need to delete your post kyrae
I guess you became afraid realizing this was more than just you being upset at finding that your boyfriend had downloaded teen porn onto your laptop
I do hope that you look out for yourself in all of this and be very careful of continuing a relationship with this man

I just want to clarify my last post - when I said "it makes me mad these young women are doing this". I was referring to the way some teenage girls make the choice to perform in front of webcams or send nude pictures from their phones. I think there's something seriously lacking in their upbringing and society is deteriorating. I was not talking about women who are forced into pornography.
I have a good feeling that this poster will do what's best for herself and this difficult situation.
