Thank you. I'm seeing a counselor now, and my husband & I are separating. I had his name taken off the lease and the sheriff served him with a 'vacate and desist' notice. If he isn't out by the 10th of July, he's going to be arrested, and with his prior record, he won't just get a fine. On July 11th, my friend's taking me to the courthouse to file a PFA.

I'm VERY PROUD that you have made this decision - this takes a tremendous amount of courage. I really appreciate that you're telling us the good news because I would have wondered if you're alright and safe. Are you both living separate right now and is he peacefully accepting the separation? Sometimes women are in the most danger when they try to get away - I hope that's not the case.

I can only imagine how scarey this all must be and I'm so happy that you're getting counselling and have a friend to lean on. You did the right thing - I hope you know that! Hopefully with the counselling you can break the pattern and one day find a healthy relationship. I pray that you and your daughter will have a happier life now. It will be very hard but remember you deserve to live happy and healthy. Stay strong because will be hard not to get confused and you may want to go back. I know from my own experience. You keep in touch Nancy
