My husband has recently made his email and phone private. He told me I have no business knowing his private conversations. He is acting VERY suspicious, lying, deleting texts ,angry outbursts .... He claims I am controlling and psychotic. Should spouses have secret email and text? I have no problem with him seeing mine, I have nothing to hide!

I think it's quite common to have separate email accounts, and yes, some might wish to be more private than others. I'm more concerned about his bad behavior and abusive comments. How long has it been since he's had a complete physical exam? He may have an underlying issue that is contributing to his behavior...make an appointment and go with him. Presenting this as a medical problem (which it may be) might help him regard it easier, and realize how poorly he's behaving.
Good wishes

Theres nothing wrong with having private accounts, but the behaviors exhibited and the comments that go with them are kind of worrisome.
Could he go see a doctor?

I would be asking myself what is he hiding? What is being said in an email that a wife cannot see and what is a phone that a wife cannot contact. To me if it is all open and above board who cares who can see. Why does he become defensive and abusive towards the wife? Sounds like to me that he is doing something he knows is wrong.

Every individual is entitled to their own personal privacy and space. Should you be allowed to go out with same-sex friends without your husband having the right to tape the conversation? Of course you should. How would you feel if he requested this? Pretty darned shocked I bet. I am a firm believer in being open and honest with one's spouse, but let's not go overboard just because we're now in a digital society. Big brother anyone?
