Hello,
I am writing this because I don't know what illness I have. My doctor has diagnosed "psychotic syndrome", but some say that "psychotic syndrome" is a variety of illnesses, including Schizophrenia. I am wondering,is it possible that I have schizophrenia? Does what others say apply? Or psychotic syndrome is a special pathisis different from schizophrenia?

We're not doctors or therapists and a person can't be diagnosed over the internet. You would need to ask your doctor these questions or get a second opinion if you have to. Best of luck :)

Its always possible that you could. What bella means is that for best results, you do need to ask your doctor.
Dont apologize, she didnt mean it like that.
Syndromes are not the entire "spectrum" of a disorder, such as schizophrenia. Schizophrenia can have psychiatric tendencies.
What I mean is that with the psychotic syndrome, that could be a little part of a whole, or it could be the whole.
Psych Central Answers is a place where people can ask and answer questions about mental health issues and relationships in a safe and supportive environment.
