I have a reoccurring dream where I get into an argument with my brother, then as the dream starts I pull out a 45 caliber gun and shoot him in the head. I then go outside and my roommate asks me what the hell is going on. Without warning I shoot her, then the next person that asks me anything I shoot them. The dream is very gruesome, and bloody. Just before I awake, another officer ends of shooting me and just before the bullet hits me in the head, I wake up remembering every detail in its gruesomeness, horribleness.

Dreagon, yes indeed this is gruesome. I think it's also very important if it plays in your head as you have written it.

Pent up anger and frustration can produce such dreams/nightmares that release and "solve" issues that you can't seem to gain control over in real life. However, they often are not good solutions.

That everyone is shot in the head can have some connection to where your frustrations are, or that you have been playing far too many violent video games. If you are playing any "exciting" or violent games, why not stop for a week or so (I know, difficult) and see if your dreaming changes.

If you are simply having these dreams from your day to day life, then a counselor can help you sort through your frustrations. I think you must feel totally out of control of your life, as though everyone else is running your life for you and you resent it. The "officer" in the end, rescues you, but not in the usual way of help.

Talk to a counselor, or a teacher/professor who you trust to help you, ok? This is a serious happening for you.

Good wishes

Hi there...it does sound like it is a lot of anger issues. Can you talk to a friend or a therapist who can help you deal with the anger issues?

Do you feel in control of your life, or OUT of control of your life, as I sense you do?

If you do feel out of control, you must seek help.

Best,

Clyde
