My fiance sleeps like a rock. Trying to wake him up is like trying to wake the dead. He has the ability to sleep for over 15 hours at a time, or less. Lately, hes been breathing weird in his sleep, and me being a light sleeper, I often wake up to the noises hes been making. When he breathes, he takes a long breath in, then he pauses, and makes a groaning sound that sometimes lasts for up to 30 seconds, before he lets out his breath. The groaning he makes gets very load sometimes and sounds like hes in pain. This happens periodically throughout the night. The only thing that seems to stop it, at least temporarily, is if I make skin contact. Like holding his hand, or rubbing my fingers through his hair. But the second I stop, it starts again. I'm really worried about it, and I don't know enough to figure out the problem myself.

That sounds like sleep Apena, over a long time it can cause serious medical problems. You should talk to his Dr. and see if they want to do a sleepstudy. It takes one night and they will be able to tell you.

I agree about the sleep apnea. Sounds like he stops breathing in his sleep. That is what happened to me and I use oxygen at night. I agree with Greg77733, He needs to talk to his doctor.

I also agree about sleep apnea. I would definitely have him go to a medical doctor and/or a sleep doctor who could recommend further treatment.
